Local Food Diversification Development Strategy in West Sumbawa Regency

A method of food selection known as "food diversification" does not rely solely on one type but rather a variety ingredients, starting with production, processing, distribution, and household consumption. West Sumbawa Regency is potential area in the development alternative local crops to replace rice, such yam, corn other tubers. This study aims 1) To determine factors that influence diversification 2). Formulate strategy for developing Regency. employs SWOT analysis descriptive manner. Results using obtained five strategies, existing strategies three were which prioritized, namely: 1). maximizing utilization land consumption habits support success diversification, Increasing human resources producing variations increasing habit consuming anticipation mushrooming restaurants modern/imported food, 3). Creating new markets through agro-industry, provision diverse quality so increase income. The conclusion was based internal external by analyzing opportunities, threats, strengths, weaknesses generating prioritized strategies.
